For those not already signed up to Virgin Media’s TiVo or broadband plans, the company’s Samsung Galaxy S4 price plans might not all that appealing. For those making use of the brand’s home service’s however, a £5 monthly saving on contract fees is sure to tempt many.

With the network charging up front handset fees on the Samsung Galaxy S4, those opting for the device will have three price packages to choose from.

When opting to pay a £99 one off handset fee, Virgin Media will offer a £36 ‘Starter’ package, £41 ‘Essential’ package and a £44 ‘Premiere’ deal. These packages incur an additional £2 per month charge when opting to pay just £69 up front.

The Premiere package provides 2500 monthly minutes alongside unlimited texts and no data cap. All deals are available on a 24 month basis.

With a Samsung Galaxy S4 release date having been pencilled in for this Friday, April 26, the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean hosting handset is set to battle it out with the likes of the HTC One, Sony Xperia Z and iPhone 5 for smartphone supremacy.

Although the UK will not benefit from the same 1.6GHz eight-core CPU hosting rendition of the phone as afforded to some other markets, the British-bound Samsung Galaxy S4 will line up with a zippy 1.9GHz quad-core Qualcomm processor in tow alongside 4G connectivity capabilities.

Lining up at just 7.9mm thick and a mere 130g in weight, the plastic clad Samsung Galaxy S4 plays host to a 5-inch Super AMOLED display with a stunning 1920 x 1080p Full HD resolution, 441 pixels-per-inch resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protective coating.

Having made the jump to a 13-megapixel rear-mounted camera and second, 2-megapixel snapper up front, the Samsung Galaxy S4 features list sees a raft of innovative new software options join the fray with Smart Scroll and Smart Pause utilising eye-tracking technologies.
