Here’s the stunning final Rogue One: A Star Wars Story trailer

There’s about two months to go until Star Wars becomes an unavoidable part of our lives once again, and to help the anticipation reach its usual fever pitch in good time, we’ve been gifted a new trailer for Rogue One.
The next film in the franchise takes place before A New Hope and the new trailer contains some of the most intriguing footage we’ve seen yet.
We already got a quick glimpse of Darth Vader in the closing moments of film’s previous trailer, and this time around he can be seen again striding ominously towards what looks like a member of the Rebel Alliance.
The clip also teases what looks like some epic battle scenes, alongside a brief look at protagonist Jyn Erso’s (Felicity Jones) past, and the origins of the Rogue call sign.
A new poster has also been released to accompany the trailer, which showcases the characters and hints at Erso’s struggle with the light and dark forces of the Star Wars universe.
The film follows a group of heroes as they embark on a mission to steal the plans to the Empire’s ‘ultimate weapon of destruction’, the Death Star.
Rogue One is set for a December 16 release. Following news of re-shoots to lighten up the film’s tone, there was some concern over whether the film would live up to expectations.
Disney has previously characterised the film as ‘an experiment’ so we’re intrigued to see whether it can match the hype.
