US Open 2016 Live Stream: How to watch the competition online

The US Open 2016 begins today and runs until Sunday, September 11, and we’ve got all the information you need to make sure you stay up to date with the competition live online.

Andy Murray will be aiming to secure his second Grand Slam of the year after stellar performances at both Wimbledon and the Olympics.

After winning the Wimbledon title and Olympic gold, a win in Flushing Meadows would make this the most successful season of his career.

But Djokovic will be keen to reestablish himself after early exits at both Wimbledon and the Olympics, while Serena Williams’ will be looking to break Steffi Graf’s record of 22 Grand Slams.

And this year, Eurosport has the rights to show the matches live, and is the only channel where you’ll be able to watch complete coverage from Flushing Meadows.

Luckily, the channel has an online player that means those of us who want to follow the action without needing a TV will be able to tune in.

But watching live doesn’t come free, unfortunately. To sign up for access, head over to the Eurosport website and click on ‘Subscribe from £4.99’. You’ll then have the option to choose between a monthly access pass for £6.99, or a yearly subscription for £4.99 per month.

There’s also the option to sign up for the three month pass, which gets you access to the Eurosport Player and NBA League Pass, in case you also happen to be a basketball fan.

Whichever option you choose, you’ll get access to live coverage of 12 courts, along with real-time stats, instant replays, and other benefits you can read about on the Eurosport site.

If you want to follow the Open on mobile, Eurosport has an app you can download, which will give you live access to the matches, once you’ve signed up for a subscription.

Play at the US Open is split between two sessions: The morning session will start at 11pm local time (4pm BST) and the evening session at 7pm (midnight BST).
