UK Game Releases This Week: Join the Darkside in Star Wars Battlefront for PS4, Xbox One and PC

Everyone is still busy playing Fallout 4, but there are plenty of new games to get excited about this week.
Lightsabers at the ready, Star Wars Battlefront is making its long awaited return this week. It’s also a great time to be a Wii U owner, with Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival and Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash landing on the platform in the coming days. The final episode of Telltale’s Game of Thrones is (King’s) landing this week too, so we can finally pay our debts to the Forresters.
Star Wars Battlefront (PS4, Xbox One, PC)
The force is strong with this one, or something like that. Star Wars Battlefront is an essential purchase for any dedicated fan of the franchise. Battlefront not only thrusts you into large scale skirmishes on Tatooine, Hoth and The Forest Moon of Endor, it also lets you throw down as your favourite heroes. Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and more are playable across multiplayer matches featuring up to 40 players. It also runs at a silky smooth 60fps on all platforms.
Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival (Nintendo Wii U)
Amiibo Festival is party game in the same vein as Mario Party, featuring the adorable characters of Animal Crossing. Isabelle, K.K Slider and the sleazy Tom Nook are all playable, but there’s no sign of the villager. You will need some of the Animal Crossing Amiibo to make the most of Amiibo Festival, luckily the game is bundled with them at most retailers. Now if you’ll excuse us, we’re going to hoard all the Amiibo we can find.

Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash (Nintendo Wii U)
The Mushroom Kingdom is always up for a friendly round of sport, even after all the kidnapping and goomba stomping that goes down. Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash brings Mario and friends to the court once again, with an array of unique modes and gameplay options. Ultra Smash will support a bunch of online modes as well as a number of different Amiibo figurines, which you can use against other players however you like.

Game of Thrones – A Telltale Game Series: Episode 6 (PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC, iOS, Android)
We’ve been waiting a long time for the final episode of Telltale’s Game of Thrones, it’s almost as agonizing as waiting for the TV show to come back every year. All of your decisions thus far will come to a head, forcing you to decide the fate of the Forrester family, no matter the consequences. Peter Dinklage, Kit Harington and Emilia Clarke reprise their roles from the TV show, connecting with the game’s characters in clever and unique ways.
