UK Game Releases This Week: Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 lands on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC

This week we have the annual return of Call of Duty, some cheesy fist-bumping in Need for Speed and the urge to get our groove on with Persona 4: Dancing All Night. Oh, and there are TWO Hello Kitty games coming out this week.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 (PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC)

Treyarch are stepping up to the plate once again to try their hand at the hugely popular shooter franchise. Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will reiterate the parkour driven movement of last year’s Advanced Warfare whilst introducing a variety of unique mechanics. The fan favourite Zombies mode is also returning, and will feature both single and multiplayer options this time around. Be warned though, the PS3 & 360 release will not include the campaign.

Need for Speed (PS4, Xbox One, PC)

Are you ready for some serious fist-bumping? Need for Speed sure is. It’s been two years since we’ve seen a new title in the franchise, and this year’s Need for Speed reboot aims to reinvent and innovate like never before. Featuring unusual, yet quirky FMV cutscenes, Need for Speed is a light hearted new approach to street racing that looks like a lot of fun. It’s a shame that it’s always raining though.

Persona 4: Dancing All Night (PS Vita)

Persona 4: Dancing All Night is a rhythm game spin-off to the beloved JRPG, capturing all the visual charm and personality that made the original so iconic. Dancing all Night features an original story that acts as a sequel to Persona 4, so newcomers should be wary of spoilers. The addition of all new tracks and a host of playable (and customisable) characters is sure to please fans of the franchise. Dancing All Night should be a rare treat for vita owners who are in sore need of one.

City building simulation series Anno is taking yet another trip into the future with 2205. This PC only release will put you at the head of a futuristic corporation, competing against others to advance and develop technology. You can even set up colonies on the moon, pushing past the earthbound civilizations of past games. Anno 2205 will be more streamlined than ever before, so newcomers to real-time strategy titles might want to check this out.
