UK first dedicated eSports arena coming March

The UK is getting its first dedicated eSports arena this March, thanks to a partnership between Gfinity and Vue cinemas.
A deal signed between competitive gaming company Gfinity and cinema chain Vue means the UK is getting its first eSports area.
The Gfinity Area will feature three custom-built stages capable of holding over 600 fans.
Located at Vue’s Fulham Broadway multiplex in London, the Gfinity Area will have its own entrance, ticket hall, ticket machines and confectionary stall, as well as a player lounge for a maximum 50 gamers.
“
The Gfinity Area is due to open in March, just in time for the opening of the 2015 Gfinity Championships. It will host events every weekend and on selected weekday evenings.

Although this is the first dedicated eSports venue in the UK, there are already such venues in Asia and there’s a 15,000 square foot venue coming to the US this year too.
To celebrate the venue launch, Gfinity is holding the Activision’s Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare European Championships at the Royal Opera House from February 28 to March 1.
“Our partnership with Vue has other major perks for you as well. We’ll now be able to explore the opportunity to host events at their venues around the UK and in cities across the world, bringing the Gfinity experience to you, wherever you are.”
You’ll be able to get tickets through the Vue website when they go on sale too.
