Ubisoft files new trademark for Beyond Good and Evil

The new trademark for Beyond Good and Evil was spotted on April 1, and it isn’t a joke, seriously.
Dualshockers discovered the listing in the European Union Intellectual Property Office last week, a trademark known for its filing of gaming properties.
This new trademark could just mean Ubisoft is refreshing its rights to the property, giving them free reign to use it in the future.
However, the appearance of new listings are often followed by announcements, so could there be hope for Beyond Good and Evil 2?

Back in March, Destructoid received details from a source that Beyond Good and Evil 2 is in development as a Nintendo NX exclusive.
The new trademark certainly lends weight to this rumour, and it wouldn’t be the first time Nintendo has funded such a project.
Bayonetta 2 was both funded and published by Nintendo as a Wii U exclusive back in 2014.
