Uber is delivering free ice cream in the UK right now

Uber will deliver free ice cream straight to your door for one day only, because who doesn’t love free ice cream?

The ride-sharing company has announced that between the hours of 11am and 7pm on Friday, July 24, the #UberIceCream promotion will be in full swing.

That means that if you live in London, Oxford, Birmingham, Bristol, Sheffield, Manchester, and Leeds, you’re eligible for frozen treats – despite it being a grey, rainy day.

If you want to bag a free Wall’s Cornetto cone, you need to open the Uber app, set your location, and slide the ice cream slider to the right.

You can then request an ice cream parlour and you’ll have a Wall’s Cornetto delivered in minutes.

“Consider this your chance to bring some childhood magic to your Friday afternoon,” reads an Uber blog post. “If your office is more water cooler than paddling pool and sunbathing by the window is generally frowned upon, don’t sweat it.”

Uber points out that you’ll need to be requesting from a private property – a home or office – for delivery to be allowed.

Don’t forget that like all free things, demand will be high and there’ll be limited availability.
