Two unexpected shooters are coming to Nintendo Switch

Bethesda has announced that DOOM and Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus are in development for Nintendo Switch.
The announcement was made during last night’s Nintendo Direct presentation alongside a bunch of other surprise announcements.
DOOM is set to launch for Nintendo’s platform later this year, although a solid release date hasn’t been confirmed.
Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus isn’t due on Switch until 2018, so it will miss a simultaneous release with PS4, Xbox One and PC on October 27.

Bethesda has already proven itself to be a solid third-party support partner for Nintendo Switch, with Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim also coming to the platform on November 17.
It’s safe to assume that some graphical compromises will be made in DOOM and Wolfenstein 2 to ensure both run smoothly on Switch, but having two blockbuster shooters to play on the move is an awesome prospect either way.
We’re eager to see if Nintendo plans to incorporate amiibo support with these games like they have with Skyrim. Imagining murdering Nazis dressed up as Link or Samus Aran!
