Twitter teams up with SoundCloud for musical Moments

Moments launched late last year as a way for Twitter to own the news its platform generates – and it’s just gained one awesome new feature.
Twitter has teamed up with SoundCloud to integrate music directly into the Moments platform.
Now, Moment curators – both from Twitter and third parties – can include audio tracks hosted on SoundCloud.
“Moments is a great way to discover the most compelling and buzzworthy stories on Twitter, instantly, and SoundCloud’s inherently social infrastructure makes it easy to bring the newest music to the forefront, with 12 hours of new content shared on SoundCloud every minute,” a Twitter spokesperson explains.
To showcase the new feature, Twitter has directed our attention to these three new SoundCloud-friendly Moments:

It’s worth noting that Twitter users can already listen to SoundCloud tracks courtesy of audio cards, but this is the first time the feature has been used within Moments.
SoundCloud launched in September 2007 in Stockhold, Sweden, but is now headquartered in Berlin, Germany, and boasts over 175 million unique monthly listeners.
