Twitch viewers can influence Rise of The Tomb Raider gameplay
Xbox gamers streaming their Rise of the Tomb Raider exploits to Twitch can benefit from viewer interaction altering gameplay, it was revealed on Tuesday.
While enjoying live gameplay footage from those playing in Expedition Mode, viewers will be able to impact gameplay by choosing between two Expedition Cards.
The card that receives the most votes will affect gameplay for the next five minutes. That could serve up tougher opponents or give characters on-screen larger heads for the period. The idea is to make players’ experience more challenging, easier or entertaining.
There will be 64 Expedition Cards available in total, and the experience is, of course, voluntary for the gamer.
“
“By partnering with Twitch we’ve created a unique interaction loop that rewards viewers who influence a streamer’s game real-time, and have simultaneously given streamers a new gameplay experience thanks to viewer-driven decisions!”

On the flip side, there are also rewards for viewers who witness Lara complete achievements and challenges during the game.
Rise of the Tomb Raider went on sale for Xbox One and Xbox 360 this week. It will be available on PC early next year before arriving on PS4 in time for Christmas 2016.
