Popular streaming platform Twitch has plans to launch a beta version of a premium subscription service that will grant users access to new and exclusive features. The new subscription tiers will cost more while offering new emotes and custom options for passionate viewers.

What is Twitch Premium?
At the moment, viewers can choose to subscribe to their favourite streamers and content creators with a $4.99 monthly subscription. More often than not this can come with special emotes, events and Q&A time with their favourite internet personalities. Twitch Premium aims to make this experience even bigger and better for those willing to make the investment.
Over the next several weeks subscription options will roll out for beta users. Costing $9.99 and $24.99 respectively, each tier is designed to represent a specific number of subscriber counts. $9.99 is worth two and $24.99 is worth a hefty six.

“As we build this program, our goal is to provide partnered streamers with a better way to earn a steady income and to give viewers more options to support streamers on Twitch,” the company said in its official FAQ.
Another feature rolling out with Twitch Premium is the ability to gift subscriptions to friends. Twitch has said it is working on the introducing the idea in “the next few months.”
Twitch Premium appears to be a way for partnered streamers to receive a solid income while simultaneously rewarding active users with unique benefits for watching on a regular basis.
