TrustedReviews Awards 2015 finalists announced

Public voting on the TrustedReviews Awards 2015 has now closed, so we can finally reveal the finalists that our expert panel of judges will choose from.

Over 25,000 votes were cast to reduce the long lists for each category into three contenders. The winners will be decided by our expert panel of judges and announced at a exclusive ceremony held at the O2 in London on the 12 November.

The shortlists are as follows:

Smartphone of the Year

Value Smartphone of the Year

Computing Product of the Year

TV of the Year

Portable Audio Product of the Year

Game of the Year

Wearable of the Year

Camera of the Year

Home Appliance of the Year

PC Component of the Year

Crowdfunded Project of the Year

The Product of the Year award will be drawn from the winners in each category, and we’ll also be awarding a special This is the Future award to the product or technology we feel best represents a leap forward in how we use our technology in the future.

The judging panel consists of experts from the TrustedReviews team, including Evan Kypreos, Andy Vandervell, Michael Sawh, Simon Osborne-Walker, Alastair Stevenson, Edward Chester, Samantha Loveridge, Andrew Williams, John Archer and Richard Stevenson.

They’re joined by a select group of external judges.

David Phelan is a freelance technology journalist with nearly 20 years of experience of writing for leading national titles, including Time Out, The Daily Telegraph, The Independent and The Sunday Times.

Amy Cutmore is Consumer Editor at Ideal Home and an award winning blogger at Girl About Tech.

Paul Lamkin is Editor in Chief of Wareable, the leading website dedicated to wearable technology in the UK. He’s also a former Senior Editor at MSN.

David Snelling is a journalist of more than 15 years experience and he’s currently Technology Editor for the Express Newspapers.

Sean Hannam is Editor of Electrical Retail News, the leading trade publication for the electrical retailing sector in the UK. He’s also a prominent music blogger at his blog, Say It With Garage Flowers.

Thomas Tamblyn is Technology Editor at The Huffington Post and a former writer for T3.com.

Dan Maher is the presenter of Challenge TV’s Videogame Nation, and has worked for two of the world’s biggest console and software creators.

We’ll also be handing out awards in the following categories, which will be decided by experts from the TrustedReviews team:
