Now GIPHY, the collators world’s largest repository of animated gif files, has revealed the most-used images of 2017.

Top of the pile was the adorable knitting gnome designed by Anna Hrachovec, which racked up an incredible 340 million views.

It is followed by the incredulous, disbelieving blinking white dude, who kind of sums up 2017 in general really.

This waving pug comes in at third, the weird Fall Out Boy llama is fourth, while a sack celebration by the NFL’s Junior Gallete’s rounds out the top 5.

Other notable gifs in the top 10 include Bryan Cranston dropping an F-Bomb, Gal Gadot doing a happy dance in her Wonder Woman clobber.
