Toshiba L9300 4K TV range revealed
Toshiba has been showing off a new range of premium 4K TV sets at CES 2013.
The Toshiba L9300 series will feature Ultra High Definition (UHD) resolutions across the board, resulting in pictures that are four times sharper than the current 1080p Full HD standard.
As well as cutting edge display technology, the L9300 range will run on Toshiba’s latest custom TV software platform. Read on for the full specs.
Toshiba L9300 Specs
The Toshiba L9300 range will be available in 58, 65 and 84-inch models. All will feature 4K displays, and Toshiba claims that the range features the highest quality UHD image processing in the business.
You can expect a speedy 240Hz refresh rate from each of the sets for smooth, blur-free motion. UltraClear Dynamic Noise Reduction should ensure clear images without a reduction in detail.
The Toshiba L9300 range will run on Toshiba’s proprietary CEVO 4K Quad Dual Core Processor, which is capable of upscaling Full HD content to sit comfortably on the Ultra HD screen.
Each set will be based around Toshiba’s new Cloud TV platform. This Smart TV-like platform brings messaging, calendars, photo albums and more into the living room.
There are companion apps for Android, iOS and Windows 8 for those who want to manage the social and productivity features of the platform remotely.
Miracast, Wi-Fi and WiDi are all integrated, so all your wireless connectivity needs should be catered for.
