To celebrate David Bowie’s life, play The Nomad Soul for free

There’s more than one way to celebrate the life of the late David Bowie, and one play is to play The Nomad Soul for free.

Many of us are still recovering – and perhaps never quite will – from Bowie’s passing earlier this week. We’re all finding ways to grieve, and to help that process Square-Enix has offered a lovely gesture to his fans.

You can now play the 1999 game Omikron: The Nomad Soul for free. It’s the David Cage game in which Bowie and his music play one of the starring roles.

Square-Enix, the game’s currently publisher, is giving away free Steam keys for the game – to honour the god of pop himself.

You’ll need to head over to the game’s page on the Square-Enix store in order to nab it for free, but that’s it.

The Nomad Soul was the produced by Cage’s studio Quantic Dream, before the well-known Farenheit: The Indigo Prophecy, and long before the more recent Heavy Rain and Beyond Two Souls.

And we’ll warn you, Cage’s games have gotten a lot less strange over the years, which makes The Nomad Soul rather difficult to detail.

However, if you love Bowie and the music from his 90s album Hours then it’s worth a go.

The free Steam keys will be available until January 22, so be quick if you want to see Bowie in game form.
