Titanfall 2 release date coming this year?

Another report suggests that Titanfall 2 will arrive sometime this year, reinforcing all the previous teasers.
McFarlane Toys issued a press release announcing that Titanfall 2 will be released this year, alongside a range of action figures based on the game made by the toy company.
The press release stated that the toys and the game would arrive in Winter 2016, as spotted by Polygon.
A promotional image on the company’s website backed this up and added that the toys will be 7-inches tall and feature “the same meticulous level of detail that McFarlane has become known for over the last two decades.”
“This is a perfect fit. McFarlane was created so I could make cool stuff just like this,” gushed Todd McFarlane, owner and CEO of McFarlane Toys int he release. “Without saying too much about the new game… You’re not going to believe where we can take this.”

Of course, EA Games has now released a statement re-confirming that a Titanfall 2 release date hasn’t been revealed.
“McFarlane Toys will be releasing toys inspired by Titanfall in Winter of 2016. We have yet to provide a release date for the next Titanfall experience from Respawn,” came the comment from EA.
However, Respawn and publisher Electronic Arts have been dropping Titanfall 2-shaped hints for a while now.
We already sort of know that the sequel will be a multiplatform release, unlike the original just being on Xbox One and PC. It should also feature a more substantial single-player campaign.
There’s also word of a spin-off series and a potential TV series too.
Titanfall 2 is going to be massive.
