Titanfall 2 is getting some fan favourite DLC this December

Respawn Entertainment has confirmed that the Angel City map from the original Titanfall will be coming to its sequel later this year.

Heralded as one of the best maps in the original game, Angel City is receiving a visual upgrade prior to its inclusion in Titanfall 2.

“Fully remastered, Angel City is a map that is near and dear to many of us here at Respawn, and has proven to be a fan favorite since players first got their hands on it in the original Titanfall,” the studio said in a blog post. “We can’t wait to see how the community uses all the exciting new Pilot and Titan gameplay mechanics we’re bringing to Titanfall 2 on Angel City.”

Angel City will be a free download for everyone who owns the game upon its release, but those who pre-order Titanfall 2 can gain access to it three days early.

Respawn Entertainment confirmed in recent months that all post-launch downloadable content for Titanfall 2 will be available for free.

“This was driven by some things we learned following the release of the original Titanfall, and our desire to build and sustain a vibrant, thriving community that can always play together,” it explained. “This means it’ll be easier to play with your friends, not having to worry about who has what map pack or mode because everyone will have them.”

This free content only applies to maps and modes, with cosmetic options being available to purchase to customise your pilots and titans.

Titanfall 2 will launch on October 28 for PS4, Xbox One and PC
