Tiny.COM Enters Home Cinema Market

Tiny.COM is bringing its low cost PC model to the home cinema market, offering a 42in Plasma for only £1,269.

Tiny.COM, famed for its aggressively priced PCs, is gunning for the home cinema market, and is now offering a range of low cost Plasmas on its web site. From there you can pick up a 42in screen for £1,269. Tiny says that its screens use the latest panel technology from the likes of Samsung.

The screen has a native resolution of 853 x 480 but can handle 1280 x 1024 inputs. It claims a 3000:1 contrast ratio and a 160 degree viewing angle. The inputs on offer are Component, two RGB Scarts, a DVI port, a PC D-Sub and an RF connector.

Tiny.COM will also be selling a LCD TVs as well as offering a range of peripherals including DVD recorders, tuners, amplifiers, speakers and associated furniture.

Tiny is able to undercut the major players in the market as by dealing direct through its web site it doesn’t have the overheads of standard retails outlets.
