This might be our first look at a fully assembled iPhone 6S display

The iPhone 6S is nearly upon us, so it’s no surprise leaks about Apple’s next flagship are coming thick and fast.

Three new photos have emerged purporting to show a fully assembled iPhone 6S display module.

The images – which we are unable to verify – come courtesy of Chinese phone repair company GeekBar (via Nowhereelse.fr).

We’ve already seen claimed display modules for the iPhone 6S before, but this is the first time a leak shows the display paired with LCD components.

Also, there’s noteworthy difference between this alleged display module and the existing module on the iPhone 6.

In these images, the iPhone 6S shielding looks as though it’s riveted on all four sides – look for the black dots.

It’s not exactly clear what these are, but AppleInsider speculates that they could be related to Force Touch technology.

That’s the pressure-sensitive display tech that’s been widely rumoured to feature on the iPhone 6S.

What’s more, a recent report suggested Apple’s supply chain was currently in the process of ramping up Force Touch display production.

Of course, there’s no way of really knowing what secrets this newly leaked display module holds until (1) we get a more substantial leak, or (2) Apple officially confirms the device.

Apple is expected to do just that at a dedicated event in September, although no details have been given at this time.
