These are the real-life ruins that might have inspired Fallout 4

Bethesda has showcased the real-life ruins in Boston, Massachusetts that have partly inspired Fallout 4.
Although the Fallout 4 game designers took their inspiration from abandoned buildings across the state of Massachusetts where the game is set, one urban explorer has taken us on a tour of one of them.
Explorer Steve Duncan headed to the abandoned Strathmore Paper Mill in Turner Falls, Montague, and the Fall River Waterworks in Bristol County to take a look at some of the game’s inspiration.
“With Fallout 4 being released, I wanted to get under the skin of the Massachusetts we had forgotten about, to find these places lost in time that tell their own story, and that might have inspired the setting of the game,” explained Duncan.
“In the late 19th century, America was an industrial powerhouse, and it laid the foundation for 20th century America. I see structures like the water works and I understand how 20th century America became a superpower.”
