The Witness suffering from PC piracy

Jonathan Blow has confirmed that The Witness is suffering from high PC piracy, but it is still on track to trounce Braid sales.

Blow has confirmed the gae is on track for a Braid-smashing week one sales performance:

However, that success rate is being hampered by The Witness being top of a “certain” torrent website.

Interestingly, Blow admits that he knows when a streamer is using a torrented copy of the game rather than a paid-for version.

Whether he is going to do anything about this is unclear as yet, but it’s certainly a horrible way to make sure that Blow’s profits are limited.
