The powerhouse Honor 7 smartphone is finally available in the UK

Huawei spin-off brand Honor just showed off the European version flagship smartphone.

It’s called the Honor 7, and it actually launched back in June, albeit only in China.

However, the device is now confirmed for a UK release, and will be available to buy through Honor’s newly launched vMall online store.

Right, down to the nitty gritty stuff. The Honor 7 is a full-metal smartphone with a 5.2-inch Full HD display – that’s a 432ppi pixel density.

It’s powered by Huawei’s custom-built HiSilicon octa-core Kirin 934 processor, which comes paired with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of storage.

There’s also a 3,100mAh cell inside, which should make for a respectable battery life.

Snapping potential comes courtesy of a 20-megapixel rear-facing camera, as well as a front-facing 8-megapixel secondary shooter.

It’s fully 4G/LTE capable, features a fingerprint sensor, and has support for NFC, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.1 connections.

“The Honor 7 embodies our philosophy and mission to enable superior mobile internet experiences for the internet generation and era,” explains George Zhao, the company’s president, speaking at the event in London.

Zhao adds: “The device’s precise dimensions and metallic finish offer an optimal form-factor and premium feel, while its smart and multimedia capabilities inspire action and creativity.”

The Honor president also gave us an idea of how well the company has performed so far.

According to Zhao, Honor managed to turn over an impressive US$2.63 billion in the first half of 2015.

The Honor 7 will be available to buy for £249.99 – not a bad price at all – in the UK, Germany, France, The Netherlands, Italy, and Spain, and will ship in two colours – Mystery Grey and Fantasy Silver.

Note: You can knock £40 off the price tag between August 27 and 31 by entering the code H7BRAVE40UK at checkout.
