Update: Nokia has confirmed that the demo online store that appeared to be selling the Nokia N1 tablet in the UK isn’t affiliated with the company.
What’s more, Nokia currently has no plans to launch the N1 tablet outside of China or Taiwan.
“The online store referenced in the GSMArena.com report is not affiliated to nor authorised by Nokia. We are investigating and will take whatever actions are necessary to protect our brand,” a Nokia spokesperson explains.

The Nokia N1 tablet looks set to finally arrive on UK shores.
The tablet, which is Nokia’s only Android slate to date, is currently available to order on Nokia Shop.
The tablet was first announced in late 2014, although it was only released in China and Taiwan initially.
The N1 tablet is available to pre-order for £219.. What’s more, mainland Europe orders are also accepted, although you’ll be charged an extra £15.
It’s worth noting that Nokia Shop isn’t maintained by Nokia, and it’s not clear whether the site is an official reseller.
More confusingly, the web-page is captioned with the following: “This is a demo store for testing purposes – no orders shall be fulfilled”.
The page also displays the message: “All new N1 coming soon. Register below.”
As such, it’s not clear when we’ll actually get the tablet, only that it is “coming soon”.

So what do you get for your money? For starters, the Nokia N1 is a svelte 6.9mm tablet running on Google’s Android Lollipop OS.
It’s powered by a 2.3GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3580 processor, which comes paired with 2GB of RAM.
The slate uses a 7.9-inch display with a 1,536 x 2,048 pixel resolution.
On the rear sits an 8-megapixel camera, while a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter handles selfies.
There’s 32GB of storage on board (no microSD), and inside lives a 5,300mAh battery that keeps everything ticking.
