The most anticipated Netflix show of 2017 is now in production

Stranger Things season 2 is now in production, ahead of its scheduled release on Netflix in 2017.

A deliciously upside down tweet from the official Twitter account on Friday also featured a photo of cast members performing a script read-through.

Netflix announced the hit sci-fi thriller would be back for a second season at the end of August.

Variety reported it will be a nine-episode run, which is one more than the first season.

Showrunners, the Duffner brothers, have already said all of the original cast will be back for the continuation of one of the most enthralling shows of 2016.

The trailer says we’ll pick up the action in “the fall of 1984,” which is one year after the events of the first series.
