Last October, LG announced the high-end LG V10, which came with two displays, a dual front-facing camera setup, and classy stainless steel construction.
It was the second, always-on display, which could be set up to display key information like weather, time, date and battery life, that set the phone apart from other high-end handsets.
And now, the company could already be preparing to unveil a successor to the V10 according to a new report out of South Korea.
The report claims LG is ” trying to say competitive against its competitors in Smartphone markets during [the] second half of this year”.

With Samsung readying its new Galaxy Note 7 for an August launch, it makes sense that LG would want to bring forward the release of what the report claims will be called the V20, rather than the V11.
Apple is also gearing up for the launch of the iPhone 7, which is expected to arrive in early September, meaning there’ll be a lot of competition in the smartphone market as 2016 comes to an end.
It’s worth taking the ‘V20’ report with a pinch of salt, however, as there’s been no official word from LG on the rumoured handset’s launch.
LG has already launched the modular LG G5 this year, which has struggled to compete against stellar offerings from the likes of Samsung and HTC.
Whether the ‘V20’ will turn things around for the South Korean firm remains to be seen, but we’re certainly excited to see what LG has in store.
