The latest Overwatch hero may have just been leaked

Sombra, the long-rumoured next hero for Blizzard’s multiplayer shooter Overwatch has appeared online.
Having been teased for months now, fans of the excellent shooter have clung onto any clues they can find on the mysterious hacker character.
Now it seems Sombra is finally on the way, having surfaced online this past weekend with some pretty convincing images.
The above image was first posted on the Overwatch Reddit this past weekend, having originated from an Overwatch group located in Russia.

The text found in the leaked image states the following about Sombra’s character: “one of the world’s best and most notorious hackers” who as a child “lost everything during the Omnic Crisis.”
Sombra also has ties with Mexican gang Los Muertos, who have previously appeared in some of the Overwatch animated shorts.
The debut of Sombra in Overwatch could tie in with an all new Brawl Event, which will see players “protecting the castle doors from the Zomnics and Dr. Junkenstein’s evil allies”, tying in directly with the upcoming Halloween celebration.

It’s pretty normal for Blizzard to hold seasonal events for its titles, having done the same for World of Warcraft and Diablo in the past. Overwatch’s Halloween event will likely introduce new skins, sprays and voice lines for all heroes.
The Overwatch community believe Sombra will be announced, and possibly released, on October 18, judging by a site that is currently counting up to 100 percent.
