The Last of Us could come to PS4
Naughty Dog could launch the critically acclaimed game, The Last of Us, on the PS4 in the future.
Speaking on the PlayStation blog Eric Monacelli, Community Strategist at Naughty Dog, didn’t rule out a PS4 launch for The Last of Us, which was released for PS3 in June 2013.
“For those of us who jumped on board with PS4 and don’t actually own a PS3, will there be any hope to see the Last of US and its DLC moved over to the new console?” asked one intrigued PlayStation fan.
Although Monticelli’s reply did shift the focus slightly to the next Uncharted game, he didn’t rule out a PS4 version of The Last of Us.
Naughty Dog unveiled the new entry to the Uncharted series during Spkie TV’s VGX event, promising a “big jump” in visual quality and a continuation of the series’ story-driven traditions.
During VGX, Naughty Dog also released the first trailer for the first single-player DLC for The Last of Us, called “Left Behind.”
Set prior to Ellie’s meeting with Joel, the Left Behind DLC is set in a military boarding school that Ellie is attending.
The DLC will see Ellie pair with Riley Abel, who features in the first section of the main storyline of The Last of Us.
“A familiar face returns as new light is shed on an essential relationship in the story of The Last of US. Naughty Dog continues to explore the themes of survival, loyalty, and love in their first ever single player DLC with The Last of Us: Left Behind,” reads the YouTube trailer blurb.
The Last of Us: Left Behind will be released in Spring 2014.
