The first Netflix Original movie will premiere in October

Netflix can arguably match some traditional TV networks when it comes to must-see original content and this autumn the firm begins setting its sights on taking down the box office too.
The streaming giant has announced the premiere dates for its first four original films, starting with Beasts of No Nation on October 16.
The flick stars The Wire and Luther actor Idris Elba and is written and directed by Cary Fukunaga who also directed True Detective Season 1.
The movie, which is by far the most promising-sounding of the quartet, features Brit Elba as a Nigerian warlord who takes a child soldier under his wing.
Next up for Netflix is the first of a four-film deal with Adam Sandler. The comedy western The Ridiculous Six will be a Netflix exclusive when it arrives on December 11.
Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon: The Green Legend, the sequel to the Oscar-winning Ang Lee movie will arrive in the first quarter of next year, but will share screens with IMAX theatres in China.
Finally, there’s a Pee-Wee Herman film coming in March next year. Pee-Wee’s Big Holiday will be a Netflix exclusive.
