The Crew release date moved to December 2
Ubisoft has announced The Crew release date has been delayed until December 2 on all platforms.
Originally, the open world racer was due to be released on November 11, but now it won’t arrive until early December.
Apparently the extra development time is to allow Ubisoft to run a second closed console beta for The Crew, allowing gamers extra early access time with the game ahead of launch.
Of course, with a second closed beta, Ubisoft is also gathering what it calls “essential information” that will help improve the game when it is released in December.
“Our philosophy remains to deliver the best game possible. We’re all committed to delivering a revolutionary experience in the driving genre and we can’t wait for The Crew to be in the hands of the players,” said Julian Gerighty, Creative Director on The Crew.
The second closed beta for The Crew will be held in November, probably around the time of the original release date, although Ubisoft is keeping quiet on a precise date at present.
The Crew will launch for Xbox One, PS4 and PC on Tuesday, December 2.
