The Crew release date confirmed for autumn 2014

Ubisoft has announced that The Crew will be released for Xbox One, PS4 and PC this autumn.

Although there’s no precise release date for The Crew, at least we know that you’ll be able to get your hands on it sometime in Q3 2014.

If you haven’t heard of The Crew before, it’s an action-driving game that takes place in Ubisoft’s “open-world recreation of the United States”.

Similar to the most recent Need for Speed Rivals, The Crew’s world is populated with real players and you’ll be able to take part in a variety of challenges.

The first gameplay trailer for the game has been released to celebrate the vague release date announcement, revealing four of the cars you’ll get access to in game and four of the American cities you’ll drive through.

Ubisoft has also launched a Golden Plates treasure hunt to mark the occasion, hiding golden license plates within game assets like screenshots and trailers until the official release later this year.

If you submit all your discovered license plate codes into the dedicated Golden Plates website, you’ll receive in-game rewards and other goodies.
