That much we now know.
Of the innumerable European launch iPhone ‘revelations’ we’ve heard in recent weeks one of them actually looks to be correct…
Sheer weight of guesstimations might be behind this but the Rheinische Post’s report that T-Mobile has snagged a deal for the handset in Germany looks pretty kosher now the telco itself has accidentally leaked a promotional page for the device on its website.
Nabbed by Focus Online, the blotchy cached grab (above) isn’t the most exciting piece of web design you’ll ever see in your life but it does clearly reference the handset on a barebones page template filed under Web n Walk contracts so the signs appear pretty darn clear. Whether this has an effect on Apple’s UK network of choice however isn’t clear at all.
At this moment in time O2 still remains the odds on favourite and whilst a T-Mobile option would be nice (for its unlimited mobile data plans) the limited EDGE connectivity of the iPhone means you wouldn’t be missing out on a lot.
As ever keep your eyes peeled for an update. With the general consensus of opinion that the iPhone will be Europe bound in September or October there should be a definitive announcement soon – after all there’s mountains of marketingy-type-stuff to do…
