Super Slim iPhone 4G Rendered

Apple leak or fanboy gone mad?

So yes, it’s everything you’d expect it to be…

Which in all honesty isn’t surprising since what you are looking at here is on the one hand ”supposedly” a rendering of the impending fourth generation iPhone and on the other its everything we’d consider to make sense in the iPhone evolutionary roadmap.

So what do we have: a continuation of the curved back seen in the iPhone 3G and iPod touch second generation, a (strange) return to the slippery as soap yet attractive metal back of the original handset and a welcome cut down of the bezel thanks to a wider ear piece.

Do we believe it? Not really. Why? Well while the design is undeniably attractive I can’t see Apple returning to premium materials like metal for its latest handset and while the slimmer form factor is nice battery life is an issue with the iPhone 3G and technological advancements or not I can’t see how they can be solved with a battery so thin. In fact I’d rather have slightly more girth and a battery to best rival the handsets any day of the week.

That said, this image is causing great waves around the Web and so it needed a TR breakdown. In sum then: pretty ”but” I doubt it…
