Super Mario Maker has already sold 1m copies

Nintendo has announced that the Super Mario Maker game for Wii U has already shipped an impressive one million copies, less than a month after it went on sale.
The long-awaited title, which puts gamers into the shoes of Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto and enables them to create custom levels, began shipping on 10 September.
With just over 10 million Wii U units sold, it means 1-in-10 console owners have snapped up the new game.

Additionally, Nintendo revealed 2.2 million Super Mario courses have been created by the user base. Those levels have been played nearly 75 million times.
Since the launch, fan developers have been challenging each other to create the hardest levels possible, with makers having to beat the course themselves before uploading it to the community.
This one from “Panga” will sure take some beating, even with the more proficient Mario gamer in charge of the Wii U GamePad.
