Super Mario Collection amiibo now available to pre-order

The Super Mario Collection amiibo are now available to pre-order from the Nintendo Online Store.

Nintendo has made the Super Mario Collection amiibo available to pre-order now, ahead of their release on March 20, direct from the online Nintendo store.

The Super Mario Collection is comprised of Yoshi, Toad, Luigi, Bowser, Peach and Mario.

Although the majority of these characters are already available in the Super Smash Bros series amiibo, the new collection feature the characters in different poses – prime for collectability.

Each one is priced at £10.99 and there’s a limit of one per customer, making sure that everyone has a good chance of picking up the latest amiibo series.

At the time of writing Peach and Mario from the Super Mario Collection have already sold out, meaning it’s only a matter of time before the rest all go too.

The new Super Mario Collection amiibo are mostly aimed at those looking to purchase Mario Party 10 for Wii U later this year.

All six new amiibo will be playable characters in the new Mario Party title, where you’ll be able to unlock special themed board games with each one.

As for Toad, he also unlocks some exclusive content in Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, which was released at the tail end of last year.

Even if you own the Super Smash Bros versions of any of the above figures, it could be worth picking up a second version. That’s because Nintendo’s amiibo can only store one save file, despite the fact they are compatible with multiple titles.

Mario Party 10 is also being released on March 20.
