Sunset Overdrive gameplay launch trailer released

The Sunset Overdrive gameplay launch trailer has been released, just over a week before the game’s release.

Microsoft and developer Insomniac Games have teased gamers with the gameplay launch trailer for Sunset Overdrive.

With the countdown to the Sunset Overdrive release date now into the single digits, you can take a look at what the game will be like with the latest gameplay trailer.

The trailer highlights the protagonist’s sad life before the zombie hordes hit Sunset City and then he found his (or her) purpose in life.

One of the great things about Sunset Overdrive, apart from the OD bashing and slick, fast-paced gameplay of course, is the fact your character is fully customisable. That applies to their gender, clothing, facial features and more and is carried over to the cutscenes too.

Sunset Overdrive is a completely open world game that will see you taking on hordes of invested citizens, who have turned into crazed OD thanks to a dodgy energy drink made by FizzCo – your new number one enemy.

The game has a lot of influences from popular culture, including movies, video games and comic books.

The Sunset Overdrive release date has been set for October 31 in the UK and October 28 in the US.

To celebrate the launch of this Xbox One exclusive, Microsoft is offering a limited edition White Xbox One bundle for £349 with a copy of the game.
