Police in Canada say the reported suicides of two individuals is linked to the Ashley Madison customer information leak.
Toronto police are seeking information about the identity of the hackers, while the site’s parent company Avid Life Media is offering a CAN $500,000 (around £240,000, USD $390,000) reward for information on the self-proclaimed Impact Team.

The police also confirmed credit card data contained in the leak which threatened tens of millions of Ashley Madison users.
Mr Evans claimed details the leak was limited to the last four digits of the card, but still advised AM members to check their bank accounts for irregularities.
As a result of the leaks, criminals are already using the data in an attempt to capitalise on it for their own ends.
“Criminals have already engaged in online scams by claiming to provide access to the leaked websites,” he said.
“The public needs to be aware that by clicking on these links you are exposing your computers to malware, spyware, adware and viruses.”

In a news conference the police also revealed how hackers revealed themselves to Ashley Madison, with a message posted to computers of Avid Life Media employees. AC/DC’s Thunderstruck accompanied the message.
