Stephen Colbert gives that $300 Apple book the beating it had coming

There were howls of derision in some quarters this week when Apple announced a $300 book, effectively full of press renders of computers and phones.

The Designed By Apple in California book, which our own Sean Keach described as a ‘nauseating act of self-importance,’ charts the company’s most iconic products from the 1998 iMac onwards.

While most folks have been extracting the urine from this product since Tuesday, it has been left to Stephen Colbert (formerly of the Colbert Report and now host of The Late Show) to give the coffee table book the proper lancing it so richly deserves.

Personally, our favorite part covers the ‘revolutionary touch page technology that allows you to swipe your finger across the page.’
