Stardew Valley multiplayer could finally be on its way next month
The long-awaited multiplayer component for ConcernedApe’s Stardew Valley is nearing the end of its development, the studio has confirmed.
Players have been waiting for the charming farming simulator’s multiplayer update for months now, and it seems the free addition is almost here.
Posting on Twitter, Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone said the upcoming feature “should be ready in about a month.”
The update was last mentioned in February 2018 when Barone expanded upon what players can expect alongside new solo campaign content.
Judging from screenshots, this will include fishing boats, the ability to craft custom signs and put hats on animals living on your farm.

Barone stated previously that the substantial update will enter a public beta testing period ahead of its full release, so perhaps that’s what we’ll see next month.
Multiplayer content is planned to arrive first on PC before releasing on Nintendo Switch, PS4 and Xbox One. Barone is “not exactly sure” when the specific release will be, though.
Stardew Valley has brilliant potential for multiplayer if players are given the ability to visit other farms and marry fellow players. We’re very eager to watch it unfold here at Trusted.
