Star Wars VR is coming to HTC Vive, first stop Tatooine

Like virtual reality? Love Star Wars? Boy, we’ve got some news for you!

Details have leaked about an upcoming Star Wars VR experience for the HTC Vive.

In 2015, Industrial Light & Magic teased the impending virtual reality project, with a view to use it as a promotion for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Unfortunately, it was delayed on account of the HTC Vive’s launch setbacks.

However, with the Vive now less than one month away, a teaser video on ILM’s YouTube page for ‘Star Wars: Trials on Tatooine’ has been posted online…and taken down again.

Fortunately, Engadget has posted a number of screenshots from the video online, for posterity:

If that’s whet – but not sated – your appetite for Star Wars VR, you might want to take a look at original the ILM Lab launch video.
