The Star Wars Battlefront release date has been confirmed for November 17.
EA Games DICE has confirmed you’ll be able to play Star Wars Battlefront on November 17.
The game will launch for Xbox One, PS4 and PC this Christmas period.
The release date was accidentally revealed on the Star Wars Battlefront teaser site, but was subsequently confirmed by DICE Producer Jesper Nielsen.
“If stuff like this happens, we only have ourselves to blame,” he wrote on Reddit. “However, you would have learned this very soon anyway.”
A lengthy Star Wars Battlefront gameplay reveal is due today as part of the Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim, Los Angeles.

The release date was discovered through a link hidden (1.49 in the video below) for the Star Wars Battlefront videogame by a NeoGAF user, where the following was written in the code:
“The latest news and updates for Star Wars Battlefront. Available November 17, 2015 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.”
The gameplay reveal will commence at 6.30pm BST today, so make sure to tune in at the Star Wars Battlefront website at that time.

Star Wars Battlefront is in development at DICE, a studio made up of former Battlefield veterans and also includes team members from Mirror’s Edge for example.
“We could not think of a better or more appropriate place to debut the game officially for the first time than the premier event that celebrates the Star Wars universe and the legions of fans who have fallen in love with it,” explained EA Games when announcing the Star Wars Celebration reveal.
