Star Wars Battlefront beta coming this October

EA Games has confirmed that a Star Wars Battlefront beta is coming this October.

You’ll soon be able to try before you buy with Star Wars Battlefront, as a beta for the game has just been confirmed.

Arriving in early October, the Star Wars Battlefront beta will be available on PS4, Xbox One and PC via Origin.

It will feature the Walker Assault on Hoth, which is a 40-player multiplayer battle feature the Rebels against the Empire.

Walker Assault also gives you the chance to play as either Darth Vader or Luke Skywalker.

The beta will also offer access to the Survival Mission on Tatooine, which can be played co-operatively with a friend.

“Ever since we revealed Star Wars Battlefront in April at Star Wars Celebration, you’ve been asking us if there would be a beta,” explained EA in a blog post. “Today, we are thrilled to finally be able to answer that question, and the answer is yes!”

“In addition to those two modes, we are excited to reveal a brand-new mode that will be available in the beta, Drop Zone. We’ll be sharing more details on Drop Zone in the weeks ahead,” added EA.

The beta will also give you a taste of the Battlefront Companion experience. Available from the Star Wars Battlefront website, the Companion experience features the strategic card game Base Command.

This lets you earn credits that unlocks Star Cards, weapons and more in the main game.

“We’ll have a lot more info regarding the Star Wars Battlefront Beta in the weeks ahead, so be sure to stay tuned,” added EA.
