Star Trek is the latest reason a Netflix sub is a total no-brainer

Netflix has announced it has obtained the international streaming rights to the new Star Trek television series, which will air on CBS in the United States.

In 188 countries outside the US, Trekkies will be able to stream the episodes within 24 hours of their US airing.

The first episode of the new series, which will premiere in January 2017, will be screened on regular CBS television, while the rest of the series will be available via the CBS All Access on-demand platform.

Additionally, Netflix has confirmed that all 727 episodes from the entire Star Trek library will be available globally on Netflix by the end of the year.

That’s everything from The Original Series, The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Voyager and Enterprise. For streaming services, this appears to be uncharted space.
