Gamers can get 10% off their Spotify subscription using this neat little trick

By purchasing a Spotify subscription through the PlayStation Store before October 18, PS Plus account holders can get 10% off the music streaming service, bringing the price down from £9.99 to £8.99 a month.

Spotify is everywhere these days. It’s on your PC and your TV, your phone and your tablet. More recently it’s also become available on games consoles such as the PS4 (we’ve heard it’s also available on the Xbox One, but that’s less important right now).

If you’re someone that has a PS4 and currently subscribes to Sony’s premium online service PlayStation Plus, then for a limited time you can get a discount on your Spotify subscription by purchasing it through your console. Simply open up the PlayStation store and search for Spotify.

You can then either listen to Spotify while you game, or else use your subscription anywhere else the music streaming service is available. Yes, even if that’s an Xbox One.

This deal isn’t going to help anyone that doesn’t currently hold a PS Plus membership. The discount is available only as long as you’re subscribed, which rules out quickly subscribing and cancelling to get the membership, so it’s only really worth doing if you’d be paying for Plus anyway.

Still, it’s a nice little bonus for music-loving gamers.
