There are lots of great playlists on Spotify, but such mixes struggle to hold up against real DJs.
Spotify has launched a new Party mode that offers up professionally mixed playlists.
The music streaming service now offers playlists put together from the ground up by actual DJs.
For instance, Spotify has worked with Diplo to create an exclusive 120-track set.
The track order can be changed by sliding a “mood tuner”, to fulfil certain niches.
What’s more, all of the songs in the “expert-made party playlists” are beat-matched, meaning each song should blend smoothly into the next one – no pauses or awkward transitions.

“When it comes to throwing parties you simply have to have the right playlists – or everyone will leave,” explains acclaimed US DJ Diplo. “And while researching and picking out music is fun, it also takes a lot of time and effort.”
He continues: “With Spotify Party, you’re served with loads of beat-matched music that transitions perfectly, which you can easily adapt to whatever your current vibe is.”
“Best of all, you don’t have to do any of the legwork,” adds the DJ.

Spotify Party will be available on iOS and Android from today, and will supposedly “make your bash sound better than ever before”.
Spotify has also pledged to add more exclusive mixes in the future, although it didn’t offer up an exact time frame or schedule.
