Spotify Family Plan pricing falls into line with Apple Music

Spotify has announced a price cut for its Family Plan option for Premium subscribers.
Just like Apple Music, subscribers can now put up to 6 family members on their plans for just $14.99/£14.99 a month.
That’s a dramatic fall as previously the same price would have only enabled two members access to the ad-free option.
Until today five subscribers would have cost $29.99/£29.99 a month, while a three person plan was $19.99/£19.99 a month.

The company promises separate accounts for everyone, with each member able to save their own playlists, music and receive personalised recommendations.
On the family plan there’ll be no restrictions on the number of devices and no conflicts when multiple members of the household are listening at the same time.
The new family plan is rolling out globally today, except in Canada.
These who’re already members can upgrade, carry over their accounts and add new family members.
