Splatoon and Mario Kart 8 Wii U Premium bundle announced

Nintendo has announced a Splatoon and Mario Kart 8 Wii U Premium bundle for release later this month.
There’s a brand new Wii U hardware bundle that packages together a 32GB Premium Wii U console with two of the best titles on the platform.
You’ll get Mario Kart 8 pre-installed on the Wii U itself, while Splatoon will be included in the form of a download code. That will be redeemable on the Nintendo eShop.
This new bundle will be available across Europe from October 30 and reports suggest it will be the cheapest Wii U bundle to date.
According to MCV, the bundle – known as the Wii U Premium Pack – will retail for £239.99 when it goes on sale later this month.
At that price, it’ll be the cheapest Wii U bundle to date as released by Nintendo. Although, we must stress that Nintendo hasn’t officially given a price for the bundle at the time of writing.

The bundle comes just as Nintendo begins its transition to its next console. Codenamed the NX, the console is expected to be revealed sometime in 2016.
Nintendo first spoke about the NX earlier this year, revealing it is already in development, but said it wouldn’t fully discuss its next console until next year.
The late Satoru Iwata, Nintendo President at the time, stated that the NX would be a “new concept” for the company, rather than simply being a replacement for the existing Wii U or 3DS family.
