Soon-to-be ex-Rdio users can now import playlists to Spotify
With the impending demise of the Rdio streaming service, the company is helping its loyal users switch to a new service without hassle.
The company has this week released an export tool (via The Verge), which allows current listeners to store all of their saved music, artists and playlists to a handy zip file.
Once folks have exported their data via Rdio, they can use Spotify’s importer to upload the zip file and see all of their music within the new account.

In November, Rdio announced that it had filed for bankruptcy, with US streaming service Pandora picking the bones at a knockdown price of $75m.
Pandora plans to offer an “expanded listening experience” before the year is out, which could see it launch a fully fledged streaming service beyond its current personal radio offering.
Rdio plans to wind down its current offerings as soon as the deal with Pandora is complete.
