Sony confirms The Last of Us Remastered PS4 bundle

A The Last of Us Remastered PS4 hardware bundle will be released to celebrate the game’s next-gen arrival, Sony has officially confirmed.

Having been a major hit as a PS3 exclusive last year, The Last of Us is to be remastered for the PS4, with the game to hit Sony’s Xbox One rival on July 29.

Having leaked courtesy of a premature Amazon France listing earlier this week, Sony has now officially announced that The Last of Us Remastered PS4 hardware bundle will land to celebrate the award winning game’s next-gen debut.

“Pick up a console packed in with Naughty Dog’s action classic next month,” Sony announced through an official blog post.

The manufacturer added: “We’re really pleased to confirm that we will be releasing a PS4 bundle for The Last of Us Remastered in Europe!”

With Sony confirming that The Last of Us remastered bundle will set wannabe owners back £374.99 – €429.99 (£344.74) on the continent – the PS4 bundle will see the standard 500GB black PS4 console boxed alongside a controller and a copy of The Last of Us Remastered and a dualshock 4 controller.

Pairing a remastered version of the original game with all of The Last of Us DLC packs which have since landed, The Last of Us Remastered will target a new, visually impressive, 1080p resolution at 60fps.

“The graphical fidelity has been turned up to 11,” Evan Wells, Studio co-President of The Last of Us developer Naughty Dog said in announcing the PS4-bound version earlier this year.

He added: “We’ve got 1080p, we’re pushing the draw distances further, we’re creating higher resolution character models, better lighting, better shadows.”
