Sony PSVR’s Cinematic Mode is like gaming on a 226-inch screen

Sony has explained a Cinematic Mode for the PlayStation VR headset that can simulate the equivalent of a 226-inch screen.
The virtual theatre, which will enable wearers to be immersed in their own viewing environment, will present three options; 117-inches, 163-inches (default) and a whopping 226-inches.
Announcing the news on its Japanese blog (via UploadVR), Sony says the largest setting will mean users will actually need to turn their heads slightly to experience the full display. Sony says it’s like watching from the front row of a movie theatre.
This means that if the PSVR starts to feel a little heavy on your head, you can lie down and still enjoy the same perspective.

Sony says this mode will be perfect for those wishing to play their non-VR PS4 titles in a more immersive environment and will even work as a back-up screen when the living room TV is spoken for.
Sony has explained the feature via Uncharted 4 and the Robert Zemekis movie called The Walk, which chronicles the story of the fella who walked between the Twin Towers in New York. Can you imagine the nausea watching that?
Sony PS VR will go on sale in November this year.
